Stephen J. Kobrin is William H. Wurster Professor of Multinational Management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his MBA from Wharton in 1962.

His research interests include globalization, global governance, global strategy, and the politics of international business. He teaches MBA and undergraduate courses in multinational management and international political-economy at Wharton. He is active in Executive Education currently serving as Academic Director of the Shanghai Municipal Government Executive Development Program. He has served as President of the Academy of International Business, Chair of the International Division of the Academy of Management and the Fulbright Awards Disciplinary Advisory Committee in Business Administration. Professor Kobrin is a Fellow of the World Economic Forum and was a Rapporteur for the 2003 Annual Meeting. Dr. Kobrin is currently serving as Interim Director of the Lauder Institute.
