Welcome from the Dean

Thank you for your interest in the Wharton Global Alumni Forum in Dubai

Dear Wharton Alumni and Friends,

I am pleased to invite you to join us for the Wharton Global Alumni Forum that will take place in Dubai, March 11–12, 2009. This will be the twelfth Global Alumni Forum Wharton has held in Europe, Africa and the Middle East region, and the first ever in Dubai.  The conference theme is “At the Crossroads for Global Economic Change,” Under the leadership of Chairman Mohammed Alshaya, WG’84, the organizing committee has planned an inspiring program for our event in Dubai.

If you previously attended our Global Alumni Forums, you know that one of the greatest benefits of participation is the chance to meet Wharton alumni from around the world.  If you have not yet attended a Global Alumni Forum, I urge you to join your fellow alumni, Wharton faculty, and industry thought leaders for a rewarding learning and networking opportunity.

Wharton’s global network of 84,000 alumni provides unequaled capacity for intellectual leadership throughout the world.  Events such as the Global Alumni Forums enable us to bring the collective power of that leadership to bear on the most critical issues of our time.  I hope you will join us in Dubai and be part of the exciting dialogue that will ensue.

Sincerely,

  Mohammed Abdul Aziz Alshaya sign
